Cornell University
yesplus was offered for two years at Cornell University for credit through their Physical Education Department.
How was yesplus implemented at Cornell?
yesplus is a 28 hour course that fulfills one credit hour at Cornell. It is offered at the beginning of each semester for 6 days in a row. Students complete their credit requirement in these 6 days. The program has been a success, with 100% of students saying they would recommend it to other students.

How do I set up a yesplus workshop as a credit course in my university? yesplus is a flexible program that can be offered through various departments, formats and schedules. yesplus also offers advanced level programs that include retreats and travel service programs.

First, determine which university department would offer yesplus. The curriculum of a yesplus workshop covers: wellness of body and mind, leadership, communication, stress management, meditation and yoga, study and concentration skills, teamwork, physical fitness, and community engagement. It can be offered through various departments/subject areas including: physical education, kinesiology, psychology, sociology, leadership, health and wellness.

Second, determine the format, number of credit hours and time span for yesplus at your university. yesplus can be offered for a minimum of 28 hours and expanded to a 56 hour curriculum. The simplest format for the program is to spread the 28 hour program over 6 consecutive days (4 hours on weekdays, 6 hours over the weekend). It may also be spread over a semester, once or twice a week after an initial 3-day launch.

Evaluations are available to measure various outcomes of the yesplus Course for students including physical and mental wellness and academic performance.
